The KLEMMER Guarantee applies to our Incoming products – insurance solutions for people entering Germany from abroad. This guarantee includes day-accurate billing, outstanding benefits that go beyond standard coverage, and a quick online sign-up with immediate insurance confirmation via email.

The KLEMMER Promise applies to all insurance products we broker between insurance companies and policyholders. It stands for our commitment to carefully selecting and regularly updating third-party insurance offers to always provide our customers with the best possible options. What are the advantages of KLEMMER insurance?

The main advantage of KLEMMER insurance solutions is the precise daily billing. With us, you only pay for the days you want to be insured. Additionally, we only offer policies with no deductible. In the event of a claim, the insurance covers all costs. Furthermore, you benefit from an easy online application process. When you book insurance on our website, you will receive an email shortly afterward with the insurance confirmation and all other documents you need for consulates and authorities.

Who can take out insurance with us?

In principle, KLEMMER insurance products are suitable for all legally competent individuals. Please refer to the product details to learn about any limitations (e.g., age restrictions).

How can I take out insurance?

You can easily take out KLEMMER insurance online. Simply choose the appropriate insurance product. For incoming products (for newcomers), you can calculate your individual contribution and take out the product directly on our website. You will then receive your insurance certificate immediately. For outgoing and other products, we will redirect you to the websites of our insurance partners, where you can also take out the product online.

If you choose to take out the insurance by mail or fax, we will need a few business days to process it. Once we have finished, we will send you the insurance certificate.

When will I receive my insurance confirmation?

If you complete your insurance online, you'll receive your confirmation immediately and automatically. From that moment on, your insurance is valid.

For insurance products based on tailored group contracts, coverage begins once the invoice and the list of insured individuals have been created and sent. With KLEMMER group contracts, you’ll automatically receive an updated list of insured persons for your records after each notification made outside business hours.

What documents will I receive?

You will receive your insurance certificate, consumer information, treatment vouchers, and a guide from us. The insurance certificate proves which product you have purchased with us. It also serves as proof of insurance, for example, for authorities. The consumer information provides detailed information about the contract terms. You will need the treatment vouchers to present in doctor's offices. This way, the medical staff knows which services the insurance covers and how they can bill for them.

Additionally, you will receive an insurance card in the size of a bank card (EC card). The payment plan, showing when each contribution is due, will be sent to you separately.

When does the insurance coverage begin?

When calculating your premium, you enter the start and end date of your insurance. Your coverage is valid exactly for this period – and with KLEMMER travel insurances, you only pay for those exact days, as we calculate on a daily basis.

How can I extend my insurance?

You can extend your insurance via email, phone, or online.

Please make sure to submit your extension request before the agreed insurance end date to avoid any gaps in your coverage.

Can I cancel my contract early?

Yes, you can end your contract early by providing a reason. A phone call is enough.
Of course, you can also send us a message using the contact form. If the contract ends as scheduled, no cancellation is necessary.

How can I sign a framework agreement?

In a phone call or via email, we can discuss your individual needs and requirements and then establish the terms for a framework agreement.

If it turns out at the end of the year that adjustments are necessary, we can make changes for the next season.

Does the contract end automatically?

Yes, the contract ends automatically at the agreed end date. You don’t need to cancel it.

How can I notify changes?

If something changes for you, such as your phone number, we should be informed. Feel free to use the contact form for your message. On weekdays, you can also reach us by phone. However, any changes to your bank details must be communicated to us in writing.

Can I change my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time before the contract starts. If your contract has already begun, you can simply apply online for the new plan. We’ll cancel your current contract and set up the new one for you.

What payment options are available?

When booking online, you can pay your contributions as follows:

  • SEPA Direct Debit: You authorize us to collect the contribution from your account, either as a one-time payment or in monthly installments.

  • Credit Card: We charge your credit card for the full amount of the contract period in advance.

  • PayPal: You pay using your email address and password.

For special insurance products (e.g., framework agreements), other payment methods may also be possible. Just get in touch with us if needed.

What happens if a direct debit cannot be processed?

If a direct debit is returned, for example due to cancellation, incorrect information, or insufficient account funds, your insurance coverage is at risk. This should definitely be avoided. First, we do not provide insurance benefits in case of payment arrears, and second, additional costs may be incurred for the extra effort.

How does the refund of overpaid contributions work?

KLEMMER calculates on a daily basis. This means that if your contract ends early, any overpaid contributions will be refunded to you.

When is the first premium due?

If you’ve chosen direct debit, we’ll collect the first premium from your account at the start of the contract.
If you pay by credit card, your card will be charged on the day you complete the online application. If another payment method (such as bank transfer) has been agreed, please make sure the first payment reaches our account by the start of the contract.

Alle nicht nachvollziehbaren Forderungen einer deutschen Botschaft bei der Erteilung eines Einreisevisums wurden quasi in "Sekundenschnelle" angepasst.
